Q5 Do acquisition of wealth is good?
A5 Yes. Hindu scriptural texts have said in unambiguous terms that acquisition of wealth is no sin; nor there is any virtue in being poor.
The ancient thinkers-the venerable seers-have included wealth (Artha) in the four Purusharthas, the fundamental aspirations one should have, the other three being Dharma (righteousness) Kama (pleasure) and Moksha (deliverance of the soul).
In Tamil, the four Purusharthas are described. As Aram, Porul, lnbam and Veedu. ALL THAT THE THINKERS INSISTED WAS THAT WEALTH BE EARNED THROUGH PROPER MEANS.
Similarly, there is no harm in enjoying pleasures which are not opposed to the dictates and principles of Dharma. ONE IS ENTITLED TO ALL HAPPINESS THAT IS DERIVED FROM LEADING A PURE AND NOBLE LIFE, the individual performing his duties faithfully.

Q7 Do Plantain has seeds which can be fertilised ?
A7 Yes is the answer. A banana plant near Brindavan Extension has started producing fruits having many thick seeds.
The yellow bananas that we eat do have seeds, but they're so small and are not functional. However, wild banana varieties carry big seeds that would make it difficult for us to eat them. The banana we all eat is cultivated with the precise purpose of being made seedless.
In this plant, flowers are born on a long and pendulous inflorescence which is usually unisexual, that is, the female flowers are born near the base of the peduncle, while the male flowers are born on the tip of the same peduncle. The ovaries contained in the first female flowers grow rapidly, developing parthenocarpically (without pollination) into clusters of fruits, called hands. The male flowers fall off. If pollination occurs by pollinators, seeds are developed inside the fruits. Both the seeded and the parthenocarpic fruits are very similar in structure before they are unopened.
My note- I have a plantain in my garden, it was told developed from seeds. The fruits when ripened were having seeds dark to the size of a pepper. In the second time also the same occurred. The plantain appear similar but for the seeds. I continue to grow the plantain for the leaves. THE FRUITS ARE DISCARDED since it has very big seeds.
Q8 Have we got any light bulb burning for centuaries and any such record?
A8 World's oldest light-bulb, still burning bright after 109 years
The world's oldest light bulb has been burning for 109 years - so little wonder it has a fan club with thousands of members and its own website.
As EU rules deny householders the right to use traditional filament bulbs, the so-called 'Centennial Light' has been on almost constantly since 1901.
It holds pride of place in Fire Station 6, in Livermore, northern California. Dangling above the fire engines, people come for hundreds and thousands of miles to see the diminutive symbol.
The bulb was designed by Adolphe Chailet, who competed with the likes of the world famous Thomas Edison to make the best bulb.
Despite his amazing design Chailet was never as successful as Edison even though his bulb was proved to survive higher voltages. 'The man who invented the bulb was Adolphe Chailet and he sounded by all accounts to be a very serious person.
Recognition: Declared the oldest known working light bulb by Guinness Book of World Records. Ripley's Believe-It-or- Not in 1972 researched it and declared it the oldest History of the light bulb

Q10 What are the benefits of Hba1c blood test?
A10 By doing a new test called Glycosylated Haemoglobin (HbA1c), one can accurately assess blood sugar control over a period of 2-3 months.
This test, the results of which can be made available in just 3 minutes using the latest sophisticated instruments, will help to assess long term diabetes control very accurately.
For example, imagine a patient who has come to Madras for a check-up by train from a far off place. Even one cup of coffee with sugar taken during the journey or missing of one dose of an antidiabetic drug could immediately raise the blood sugar and give a false impression about the diabetic control.
However the HbA1c test which is not influenced by one or two days control, will give a good idea about the overall control for the past 2-3 months. (Ref Dr Mohan diabetic center)
The normal level of Hb1Ac is between 4 and 6. and Hba1c is taken on fasting blood.
Diabetics may get a result ABOVE 7 NORMALLY. If they are able to achieve below that it is BEST CONTROL
